Expectations for September?
It's difficult to look beyond results in football these days, but I have to say, although a draw against Blackpool would have married up with my expectiations for August - 4 points from 4 games - I am pleased with the first month. I fancied us to get a draw at Cardiff and beat Blackpool, so things really haven't gone how I thought they would. And the Carling Cup win against Brum was a big bonus.
But what about September?
Saints play QPR, Ipswich, Barnsley, Doncaster and Norwich in the Championship.
I am hopeful we can beat Ipswich and Barnsley, and get something from the other three games too.
It would be great to be unbeaten this month.
How do the rest of you see it going?

Re: Expectations for September?
OK, we haven't set the Championship alight so far, but we're playin' some good stuff.
And now that we have some of the high earners back in the fold, I think Saints could start to really push for promotion.
We need a couple of older and influential heads to keep the younguns firing.
Would like to see Wotton start, and Euell more.
Let's hope Gasmi and Pekhart are possible starters, and not just additional numbers to the squad.
I am hopeful we can go through September without losing a game, and beat Rotherham in the Cup.
Jan Poortvliet to be September Manager of the Month?

Love the optimism Dell, and SOTS!
Nightmare at Loftus Road to one side - and the Rotherham game in the Cup - unbeaten in the other three games. Are we getting closer?
And why are the other experienced players still not figuring?

Re: Expectations for September?
Why is it that we always seem to drop points in the easier games, and then pinch a few back against the better opposition, or when there is a bit of pressure, like after the Rotherham defeat?
Why can't we deliver what's expected every week?
