Player of the Month
Drew Surman is the August Player of the Month!
Surman was one of only three players to have played every minute of every game in the opening month of the new season. Only Lallana and McGoldrick are a match for minutes. Two goal assists proved to be vital contributions, enabling Surman to nose ahead of James and McGoldrick.

Re: Player of the Month
What a good idea. Scoring players like in a fantasy football game.
When I think about it, Andrew Surman has started well. It's so easy to forget about the GA's.
I notice that Lloyd James has a few GA's too!
I have to say, Kelvin Davis has been very good this season, and is perhaps slightly disadvantaged because he cannot score GA's. He has made some excellent saves. I see he scores a whopping 600 for a clean sheet though!
What are the X-Rated figures for?

Hi Motty
Players in some way responsible for goals conceded, have points deducted.
You're right about Kelvin Davis. He's had a cracking start to the new season.
It's encouraging to think that so many players have caught the eye don't you think?

Thanks for the response.
Agree. The team selection must be a real headache for Poortvliet.

Lallana gets my vote. Saints Lionel Messi has been superb.

Re: Player of the Month
Kelvin was the man for me. By far the most important player at the moment as he has kept us in games which we could so easily have been trounced in. Lallana looks good going forward but two many of our team don't defend well enough or track back.

Re: Player of the Month
You make a good point I reckon SFC.
And I think we need some older heads in the spine of the team.
Don't understand why Perry was left out, and I think I would play Wotton as one of the holding midfielders, and John up top.

With the injuries we have Perry should be back for Norwich. Still waiting to see what Pulis has to offer.

Hi SFC
Still don't understand why Saints bought Pulis?

That MOTTY is a point that we are all waiting to learn. Presumably big and able to tackle. Still out and while team are improving he may indeed struggle to get a game when fit. Robertson did really well for us on debut. Hope it wasn't a flash in the pan. Judging by his appetite he could well prove bargiain of season. If he continues we may be able to do a deal using Dyer. That is if Dyer does himself some good by learning to use his pace for the team. I have my doubts.
