Silence of the Rams
Jan Poortvliet is going for a 4-2-1-2-1 formation for starters this season, a wonderful blend of youth and experience in the main, and promotion for afters. Sweet!
Total Football is on the menu, and the Saints boss has ordered some.
Derby County and Paul Jewell, looking to end a lengthy win famine, simply didn't have a big enough appetite, not in comparison to Saints hungry youngsters, who feasted.
What a difference one week can make.
Sometimes you just have to let the world take another turn.
While Saints fans were suffering from transfer indigestion, the key players behind the scenes were working on some remedies ...
Up popped Cork, a natural stopper to replace Davies.
And then Lallana gave Saints fans a taste of things to come.

Re: Silence of the Rams
Derby had a blinding result as indeed did we on Tuesday. That also has boosted our growing belief I should think. Another win on the cards Saturday. Am going to be there so will see for myself what all the fuss is about.

Hey SFC
I read your post on 606. I understand you are taking your lad.
Hope you both have a cracking day out. And Saints do the business.
I have been tempted to take my lad also. Might try him with the Stadium tour?
You're right about the form being boosted with Derby winning away at Preston!
That was a bit of a shocker!
I noticed a few Birmingham fans tried to belittle the result on Tuesday because they rested three players. But the three they rested were replaced with players of equal stature I thought?
They must have a fragile confidence in the rest of their squad, if they think that there promotion hopes hinge on just three players.
Saints could create some serious momentum if beating Blackpool at SMS on Saturday.
